Customizing Wimpus
Wimpus is Personalizable! To change your personal options, go to File->Preferences (Ctrl+P)
Number of streams to download:
Select the Number of Streams you want to be downloading at once 1, 2, or 3! More streams means songs will be captured faster, but it could slow down your bandwidth! We only recommend the "3" option for people with VERY fast connection, like a college network.
Output directory:
Choose the directory you want your new music to appear in! The directory can be placed anywhere on your harddrive, even your desktop.
Save file as:
Choose the format you would like Wimpus to save your music in. The default is to create MP3's with both an artist name and a song name. However, you can choose to change this to have Artist folders, so that you have Music/Artist Name/song.mp3.
Delete downloads shorter than:
Specify a minimum time, and all songs that don't meet it will be automatically deleted! For example, almost all songs are longer than 90 seconds, so if you select 90, everything shorter will be filtered out. And this should not result in any actual music being deleted.
Delete duplicate downloads:
Choose this option if you want to filter out music that has been downloaded before. We keep a history of everything Wimpus captures so if you select this option you will never get a song twice!
Exit option:
Wimpus can continue running in the background, capturing songs even with the window closed. Otherwise, you can cause closing the window to terminate the entire program. Your choice!
