Installation Instructions : Windows
Step 1: Choose the type of installation you would like
The Wimpus installer is available without a Java Virtual Machine if your computer
already has one, or with one if it does. When in doubt, choose the VM version.
Step 2: Launch the downloaded Wimpus.exe file
Please make sure to close all open programs and then launch the Wimpus.exe file.
This is the installer that will guide you through the installation of Wimpus.
Please read the intro screen and then click Next.
Step 3: Wimpus user agreement
In order to use Wimpus, please confirm that you have read and accepted our User
Agreement. If you do not agree, please click Cancel. If you do agree, please
click Next.
Step 4: Choose installation folder
Please select the folder you would like to install Wimpus into. Unless you have
special needs, clicking on Next to select the default folder should work.
Step 5: Shortcuts
You may want to set up shortcuts in order to launch Wimpus quickly. Please select
where you would like to place a shortcut and then click Next.
Step 6: Pre-installation summary
Wimpus will present you with a summary of where it will install itself. If everything
looks OK, click on Install.
Step 7: Installing
The installer will run through the process of installing Wimpus on your computer.
Step 8: Completion
That's it! Click on done, and then Start Wimpus by going to
Start->All Programs->Wimpus->Wimpus or by going to the shortcut you defined earlier.
