Wimpus, Inc. started as an idea in the back of our heads. Originally, Wimpus was based on
our team’s consistent trouble identifying songs we heard on the radio – for some reason DJs
on local radio seemed to assume we already knew what they were playing. The idea matured
over 3 or 4 months into its present form – a means of exploring music in a new way while
encouraging people to purchase CD’s of the music they liked. Half of our team hails from a
Stanford Senior Project team that
brought the product to fruition, the other half are just smart kids from Stanford with
extra time on their hands.
