September 11, 2004: Wimpus no longer supported
We are no longer developing or supporting Wimpus 0.99. It will no longer function
as we have shut down the servers it depends on.
We found that people didn't believe in the model of letting software find music for them.
Users want specific songs, and they want them now. That's not the Wimpus way.
April 3, 2004: Wimpus server downtime...
Looks like we lost a harddrive early today, we are in the process
of recovering our data, please bear with us. We expect a full return
of service on Tuesday, April 6, 2004.
November 11, 2003 : Wimpus 0.99c (Mac OS X) released
Includes the following fixes and features:
Switch to latest
SWT release - 3M4
Fix nasty crash in Mac Genre chooser and Song Editor (i.e. no crashing when choosing genres)
October 29, 2003 : Wimpus 0.99b (Windows) released
Our Windows release comes in two flavors - caffeinated (includes VM)
and decaffeinated (you provide the VM). In other words, if you already
have Java 1.4.1 or greater installed, please save yourself some time
(and us some bandwidth) and download the version of Wimpus that does
not include the Java VM. If you are unsure of which option to pick, choose
the former one. Thanks!
October 20, 2003 : Forays into the arena of madness
We are happy to report that the intergalactic monkey shinobis have returned from
their brief hiatus. This makes as much sense to us as it does to you.
